What We’re Losing When Flaking Out

There is an epidemic plaguing society, and it is not bat nor pangolin-borne. It is unknown, yet presumed by some, that the coronavirus pandemic brought on by black market wildlife trading will compound the effects of the aforementioned epidemic. The plague incapacitates only one species: the two-legged, glow-faced Homo sapiens. It hinders intellectual stimulus, deteriorates social status, and renders one incapable of authentic interactions. This epidemic is growing tiresome for many, yet direr with each passing year. Scientists expect devastating consequences if not addressed immediately and with rigour—this is the plague of Flaking Out.
